This ensures your private and exclusive use of the restaurant, which allows you the freedom of decorating according to your colour choice, music, dancing and any other arrangements you may wish to make.
To reserve a section of the restaurant / for smaller weddings:
Carvers offers four inter-leading rooms each differing in size. Depending on the number of guests, you may enjoy the privacy and exclusivity of being in your own room, whilst still being a part of the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere of the restaurant.
The menu is as per the lunch menu above, and the current Buffet price is R125 per person.(Tue - Sat eve & Sun lunch) or R70 per person (Tue - Sat lunch)
Children, 12 years and younger are charged R5-50 for each year of their age.
CARVERS RESTAURANT WINE LIST:
Carvers offers an award-winning wine list with a large selection to suit you and your guests pallets.
A corkage fee of R35 per bottle will be charged should you wish to bring your own wine.
Clients are welcome to set a ceiling on the total bar spend for their account. In order to maintain control of this account, we can supply a regular reconciliation of the bar account during the function.
All bar arrangements may be made by you with management prior to your function, as per your request regarding the variety of drinks to be offered and the payment thereof. Click here to have a look at our pub.

| Carvers Restaurant has been in operation since 1983. Our Cape Dutch restaurant is unique in Johannesburg and will add to your special occasion. Our beautiful garden, which overlooks the Darrenwood Dam is the ideal setting for a wedding ceremony, or a relaxing pre-lunch or dinner drink.
There are a variety of possibilities to suit your specific function, whether it be a wedding, birthday or a business event. Our famous Buffet menu is our speciality, ensuring that your guests will have a large variety of dishes to choose from. We also offer an a la carte menu, but suggest the Buffet for larger functions.

| Our Christmas Buffet is served from mid-November and is similar to our Festive Buffet, but with Turkey as one of our roasts and Christmas pudding on offer as a dessert. Christmas hats and crackers can be arranged to add that Christmas feeling to your function.

| Come and experience the friendly and relaxed atmosphere in our Cape Dutch homestead, overlooking the Darrenwood Dam, near Cresta Shopping Centre. Click here for directions. Our famous Festive Buffet comprises of the following delicious dishes:
A choice of ten different salads. Our Chefs soups of the day, including a vegetarian choice. A beef and beer stew. A selection of freshly prepared seasonal vegetables, yellow rice and roast potatoes. An array of succulent roasts including beef, gammon/pork, lamb, stuffed turkey, venison and freshly grilled line fish, all served with accompanying sauces. We offer eight various casseroles to choose from, each a popular favourite.
Our desserts are extensive, in addition to Christmas pudding with a brandy sauce, seven other desserts will certainly satisfy any sweet tooth.
The cost of the Festive Buffet is R140-00 per person excluding Christmas hats and crackers, and R150-00 per person including.
To reserve the restaurant for your private use will cost R20 000-00 (max 140 guests).
A 20% deposit of the food bill is required to confirm your reservation. Please fax a copy of the deposit slip to us on 011-478-0133 with the date of your booking and company name.
We can accommodate parties of up to 140 people, with no booking too small.
Final numbers will be confirmed four days before your function, please note that you will be charged for the exact numbers confirmed at that time.
Waiter’s gratuity has not been included in the price.
Booking is essential, do not hesitate to come and see us to discuss your function.
Ample secure parking is available, with a 24-hour security guard present.

| PACKAGES INCLUDE:
A supply of Carvers furniture and sleeper-wood tables. Our standard dark blue and dark green linen serviettes, crockery, cutlery and glasses as per our normal set-up. Wedding cake knife, cordless microphone and podium.
Secure parking and security guard for the duration of your function.
Availability of garden for wedding ceremony, photographs or drinks. Restaurant music system. You may bring your own CD’s if you have the exclusive use of the restaurant, or we can suggest an excellent live musician.
No additional room or venue hire fee.
PACKAGES DO NOT INCLUDE:
Hiring of table clothes, overlays or alternative serviettes, hiring of a dance floor, flowers, wedding cake, place settings and menus, theme decorations.
An additional fee of R500 per hour or part thereof should your function continue later than 24h30
Service fee for the waiters
Please note that all of the above can be hired through Carvers or recommendations made of whom to contact.
A provisional booking will be held for 7 days. A deposit is required to secure the date of your wedding which will serve as a down payment on the total amount due.
